SMR Protocol - AEMS RED Book

On December 18, 2013, the AEMS Board of Governors approved the Spinal Motion Restriction (SMR) protocol as an addition to the AEMS RED Book - Chapter 3, Part I / Standing Orders for Paramedics. Click Here for SMR protocol contained in RED Book.

Interested applicants for all vacant Board positions MUST complete the nomination form by October 6

*For AEMS Board of Govenors Vacancies:

Trauma Center refers to State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 facility providing enhanced trauma care, and categorized as such.

Non-Trauma Center refers to a facility that is not a State of Arizona Designated Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center.

Administration means an individual that has programmatic responsibilities and budgetary authority.

If a position involves a recommendation by a professional association, we do require a letter from the association acknowledging your nomination.

**For State Committee (Central Region Nominee) Vacancies:

AEMS selects the best person based on merit AND to serve as our recommended candidate. Interested representatives are expected to be active with AEMS.

State has final approval of the candidate selected to serve in these positions.

STAB position appointed by AZDHS Director. EMS Council positions appointed by Governor.

Protocols, Medications, and Devices Committee positions appointed by the BEMSTS Medical Director.
