BACKGROUND:
Arizona Emergency Medical Systems, Inc. (AEMS), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, serves as the Regional Emergency Medical Services Coordinating System for the Central Arizona Region on behalf of the State of Arizona. Integral to our mission is our commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration across the entire EMS landscape. Notably, our strong ties with rural entities allow us to tailor our services to meet the unique EMS needs of these communities, ensuring that no area is left under-served in the Central Arizona region.
PURPOSES OF THE SUMMIT:
Our goal is to create a collaborative and informative event for the benefit of Central Region's rural EMS communities.
Thus, this Summit serves to:
- Highlight unique EMS challenges in Central Region's rural communities.
- Gather insights and learn from your experiences.
- Explore ways AEMS can better support your needs.
- Provide updates on initiatives like OBLS and pediatric funding.
- Commence the **2023-24 Rural Paramedic Education Funding application process.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
This event is exclusively intended for representatives of rural EMS Fire Departments/Districts, Transport Agencies, and Hospitals. To clarify, our definition of "rural" encompasses EMS organizations that operate within the Central Arizona Region in Pinal and Gila Counties, including Tribal. Additionally, EMS organizations in Maricopa County, including Tribal, are classified as rural provided they are not part of the Automatic Aid System. We kindly request your assistance in sharing this opportunity to other staff and colleagues dedicated to advancing Central Region rural EMS, whom you deem appropriate for attendance.
